Rascal had to Give Up Coffee - So he turned to Apples!

His obsession with Apples brings him trouble... but a new friend.

​Rascal was a friendly and curious Golden Retriever who lived with his family on a small farm. Rascal loved two things in particular - coffee, and apples.  But sneaking a drink of that black liquid his owners were always drinking - and getting really sick to his stomach - he realized he could never have coffee again!

So he turned to apples. He loved the taste of them, the texture of their skin, and the way the juice would drip down his chin as he ate them.
 
One day, Rascal decided to explore the apple orchard at the edge of the farm. He sniffed around the trees, trying to find the ripest and most delicious apples to eat. But as he was jumping up to reach a particularly tempting apple, he slipped and fell to the ground. Rascal shook himself off and looked around, embarrassed. But then he noticed that he had landed on a hornet's nest.
 
The hornets swarmed around Rascal, stinging him all over his body. Rascal yelped in pain and tried to run away, but the hornets followed him. He ran through the orchard, trying to shake them off, but they kept stinging him. Eventually, Rascal made it back to his house, covered in angry hornets.
 
His family rushed him to the vet, where he was treated for multiple stings. Rascal felt embarrassed about what had happened, but he couldn't shake his love for apples.
 
A few weeks later, Rascal's family decided to bake an apple pie using some of the apples from their orchard. Max looked at Rascal for a moment before nodding his head. "It's okay," he said. "I guess I should have kept a better eye on it. You really like apples, don't you?"
 
Rascal nodded eagerly. "I love them! They're my favorite thing to eat."
 
Max smiled. "I like them too. That's why I was so protective of my tree. But you're pretty brave, Rascal. Most dogs would have run away from me."
 
Rascal felt a rush of pride at Max's words. He had always thought of himself as a friendly dog, but he had never considered himself brave before.
 
"Thanks, Max," he said. "I just didn't want to get in trouble for stealing your apples."
 
Max chuckled. "It's okay, Rascal. I don't mind sharing. In fact, I have an idea. Why don't you come over to my house sometime? I have an apple tree there too, and we could share some apples together."
 
Rascal's tail wagged so hard it felt like it might fall off. "I would love that, Max!" he exclaimed. "Thank you!"
 
And so, Rascal and Max became friends. They would often meet up in the orchard and share apples, taking turns picking the ripest and most delicious ones. Rascal no longer had to sneak around, trying to find apples to eat, because he had a friend who was willing to share with him.
 
Rascal's family was happy too, knowing that he had found a friend and a new source of apples. And every time they would see Rascal and Max sitting under the apple tree, munching on apples together, they couldn't help but smile.

In the end, Rascal's love for apples had brought him some unexpected challenges, but it had also brought him a new friend and a sense of bravery he had never known before. And every time he ate an apple, he felt grateful for the adventure it had taken him on.

Starbucks now has a drink with olive oil infused; it is an experiment. But they have been doing this in Italy, for a very long time!  In fact some in Italy take one tablespoon of Olive Oil, every morning; for health.  We are trying it and it seems to help with Arthritis, for example.  You can read more about Starucks little experiment at CNN.  It's possible they are using a bit too much oil.

Why Olive Oil?

Olive oil is believed to reduce inflammation; as such, it cani help with Arthritis, heart problems and more.  There are studies being done, and Olive Oil is a big part of the famous 'Mediterranean Diet'.  It is thought that Olive Oil is a big reason that diet is so healthy.

Oleocanthal: the Most Important Ingredient, in Olive Oil
