The study looked at coffee drinkers who had a moderate amount of coffee, which is the most common. The study looked at body water volume and overall body weight, as well as urinary frequency and volume. They found no difference between coffee drinkers and non. They alternated the routine between all people to make sure there were no discrepancies.
The Mayo Clinic has found that coffee drinking can contribute to hydration as well. So this is all good news. Of course no one should depend on just coffee for hydration; water is still important.
